Fanuc Parameter backup Procedures

There are two types of parameters to backup on Fanuc controls. NC (control side) and PMC (manufacturer side) parameters. Some manufacturers also have another set of parameters for their own operator software that lays over top of the Fanuc control. Below, you will find some backup procedures for loading to your computer, at least the PMC and main parameters.

NC parameter backup 16/18/21 and 16i/18i/21i

  1. Set communications parameters on computer to match machine if not all ready done so.
  2. Select the EDIT Mode.
  3. Press the (System hard) key.
  4. Press the (OPRT) Soft Key below screen.
  5. Press the right arrow soft key.
  6. Press the (Punch) Soft key.
  7. Press the (EXEC) Soft key.
  8. Output should flash in bottom right corner.
  9. When output stops flashing load complete
